What makes natural cosmetics so special?

But for a long time, the cosmetics industry did not offer what she wished for herself, her fellow human beings, and the environment. But luckily, natural cosmetics and the understanding and wishes of consumers are changing. Awareness of naturalness and the environment is returning, and people are increasingly questioning what really goes into the products they put on their skin. After all, the skin is the largest organ of the human body and is often called the "mirror of the soul".

We want to show you 9 great advantages of natural cosmetics.


1) MINDFULNESS AND WELL-BEING
True natural cosmetics consist of plant extracts and purely natural ingredients that protect people and the environment.
Natural cosmetics therefore avoid chemical substances that are aggressive to the skin. Both in the quality of the raw materials and their manufacturing processes. Mindfulness, personal well-being, good compatibility, and healthy, radiant skin are the focus. 

2) LONG-TERM AND HONEST CARE
Conventional cosmetics rely on quick effects and temporary padding and smoothing through the use of silicones and synthetic oils, without long-term benefits for the skin. Natural care, on the other hand, focuses on long-term, sustainable, and holistic care that effectively regenerates the skin and supports the skin's processes without interrupting them. This way, pores are not clogged and enzyme production is not restricted, so the skin's natural moisture regulation and protective mechanisms are maintained and supported.


3) NO SYNTHETIC PRESERVATIVES
Conventional cosmetics use artificial preservatives such as parabens for long product shelf life. However, these synthetic preservatives are often suspected of affecting the hormonal balance and having a higher allergy risk. Since our products are not diluted with water, we can do without many stabilizers. But even high-quality plant oils must be protected from oxidation. By adding high-quality, natural substances, we manage to protect our products from oxidation in a completely natural way. Vitamin E (tocopherol) acts as a natural protector of the oils because it has antioxidant and cell-protective effects. The natural essential oils also support through their antibacterial effect.

4) NO ALCOHOLS
Alcohols are also a natural alternative to synthetic preservatives and probably the most used preservative in natural cosmetics. However, alcohols often have a drying and irritating effect on sensitive skin, so we avoid this preservative in Hello Sue .  

5) NO MINERAL OILS
Mineral oils such as paraffin are derived from petroleum and are a cheap alternative to high-quality plant oils. However, they are already unsustainable and environmentally unfriendly in production and can also contain very critical ingredients for the skin.

6) NO SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCES
Synthetic fragrances, unlike natural fragrances, are usually difficult to degrade and can accumulate in the environment and in the organisms of humans and animals. 

7) NO MICROPLASTICS
Substances like microplastics, which have a harmful effect on the environment, have no place in cosmetics.

8) NO ANIMAL TESTING
Humans have a responsibility towards animals! This ethical approach is incompatible with animal testing.  

9) SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
Besides the ingredients, of course, the packaging and sources also play a big role. Because what use is it if the product's content is natural, but the rest is not.
